How to pray the Holy Rosary?

Perhaps you may agree with us that there are periods in our lives when we feel distant from God, when we experience an emptiness in our hearts. Life becomes heavy and monotonous, and problems often take on dimensions that scare us. The future appears uncertain, troubling our souls with doubts and fears.

Perhaps we are men and women submerged in this great whirlpool that is the modern world, and we often fear sinking amid so many storms and dangers.

We worry about the situation of our family, about the job that may be at risk, jeopardizing the provision and education of our loved ones.

Nothing seems to have a solution…

Meanwhile, in 1917, to three young shepherds in Fatima, Portugal, the Blessed Virgin Mary left them with and insisted on the prayer that would bring about the longed-for peace for the world. Yes, that peace that we desire so much.

Peace, which Saint Thomas Aquinas defines as “the tranquility of order.” Exactly. It is that serenity that arises from order. Order, which means that everything is placed in its proper and harmonious arrangement.

That is how our soul should be in relation to God. In order. And in order for us to attain the grace of possessing peace within ourselves, we must do so through prayer, especially through the recitation of the Holy Rosary.

What are the benefits

of praying the Rosary?

According to Saint Louis de Montfort, the pious and efficacious recitation of the Rosary:

  1. Elevates us imperceptibly to a perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  2. Purifies our souls from sin.
  3. Makes us victorious against all our enemies.
  4. Facilitates the practice of virtues.
  5. Enflames us with the love of Jesus Christ.
  6. Enriches us with graces and merits.
  7. Provides us with the means to repay all our debts to God and to others.
  8. Ultimately, obtains for us from God all kinds of graces.

Offering of the Rosary

I join with all the saints in heaven, with all the righteous on earth, and with all faithful souls present in this place.

I join with You, O Jesus, to praise Your Holy Mother worthily and to praise You in Her and through Her.

I renounce all distractions that may come to me during this rosary, which I want to recite with modesty, attention, and devotion as if it were the last of my life. Amen.

Sign of the Cross

By the sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us, Lord our God, from our enemies.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Credo

“I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into Hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

After praying the 5 Mysteries.

1

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

2

Glory

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

3

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

4

Oh, my Jesus

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Your Divine Mercy.

5

Hail, Queen

Hail, Queen and Motherof Mercy, our life, sweetness,
and hope. Hail, to you we cry, the banished
children of Eve. To you we sigh, mourning and weeping
in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes
of mercy toward us. And after this exile, show us Jesus,
the blessed fruit of your womb. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us, Holy Mother of God, R. That we may be made worthy of the promises
of Christ. Amen.
